A novated lease lets you pay for your car, and often its running costs, from your pre-tax salary. Chery Footscray can work with your salary packaging provider to make it simple.

How it works

1. Choose your Chery and get a quote from us.
2. Your employer's salary packaging provider, or one you choose, arranges the lease.
3. Repayments and agreed running costs come out of your pay before tax.
4. At the end, pay the residual, trade up or refinance.

Electric cars and FBT

Under current rules, eligible fully electric cars under the luxury car tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles can be exempt from fringe benefits tax on a novated lease, which makes the Chery E5 worth a look. Plug-in hybrids, including Chery Super Hybrid models, no longer qualify for the exemption on new leases started from 1 April 2025, but can still be leased.
